The default method of creating a slide show is to simply copy a single HTML file and edit it to reference the images and thumbnails for your show. This default template references the code and application components stored on our server - there is no need for you to copy anything else. Simply right-click on "template.htm" below, and select "Save Target As..." to save a copy on your local machine.
| template.htm | This is a copy of an empty slideshow template. This is the file into which the XML data island must be placed. You can also edit our Sample Show if you prefer not to start from a "blank slate". |
In case you do not want to serve your slideshow using any of our server versions, or if you want to view your slideshow while not connected to the Internet, you can make a copy of our application files.
| 2004-03-13.zip | All the files of the run-time application are included here.
When you make your own galleries, just change the line in template.htm
from:
to
and your gallery will use your copy of the run-time application rather than the version hosted on our server. |
The XML Data island that drives the slide show has the following format. Note that the values show here are typically the default values of those attributes. Attributes can be omitted from the XML and the default values will be used (newly implemented attributes are highlighted in yellow).
